Burning – Bowls Raleigh
Lockhart will begin the class with the hands on refresher of the A, B, C of
woodturning - Building the Foundation!
This will include lathe operations, safety, tool selection, sharpening
and basics of turning. Then you will
transfer this knowledge to turning a classic bowl and adding some burning
embellishment on it as well! Learning
many new skills in one class!
February 9th – Turning Birdhouses
Raleigh
Lockhart will begin the class with the hands on refresher of the A, B, C of
woodturning - Building the Foundation!
This will include lathe operations, safety, tool selection, sharpening
and basics of turning. Then Raleigh will
move into featured learning of the day, turning a free standing decorative
birdhouse! Birdhouses have become one of
woodturners favorite projects to make today!
March 2nd – Turning and Burning –
Platters Raleigh
Lockhart will begin the class with the hands on refresher of the A, B, C of
woodturning - Building the Foundation! This
will include lathe operations, safety, tool selection, sharpening and basics of
turning. Then you will transfer this
knowledge to turning a platter and adding burning embellishment to enhance the
finished project! Learning many new
skills in one class!
April 6rd – Turning Lids for
Re-purposed Jars Raleigh
Lockhart will begin the class with the hands on refresher of the A, B, C of
woodturning - Building the Foundation!
This will include lathe operations, safety, tool selection, sharpening
and basics of turning. Then Raleigh will
teach you how to make woodturned lids for recycled jars. So don’t throw those jars away – repurpose
them with turned lids!
May 4th – Turning and Burning –
